Who doesn't want their flowers to last as long as possible, am I right?
We want to share all our little tips and tricks we have learned to make flowers last even longer and we want our wonderful customers to get the most enjoyment out of all their fresh flowers that they receive and buy from us!
First and foremost enjoy them! Take the pleasant scent and bright colors in.
Flowers carry a variety of unique scents making each bouquet a different experience.
For maximum enjoyment, every 3 days or so take the flowers out, clean the vase and put cold to room temperature fresh water in it with flower food that we send home with you. Don't forget the flower food packet because that really helps the flowers last longer!
There is instructions on the back of the packet to make sure you do the perfect amount.
The warmer the water the faster the flowers will open and you won't get as much time to enjoy them!
When choosing the right vase for your flowers make sure the container is cleaned thoroughly after each use to get rid of any bacteria. Using dirty vases contaminates the water and can harm the flowers.
After the water is all ready to go in the vase, take a clean knife or scissors and give everything a nice clean cut! This helps the stems be able to hydrate better and will give you more time to enjoy your flowers!
Check the water, don't let it get cloudy or low! This is very important, after a few days after receiving your flowers make sure you keep the water level full! When the vase becomes cloudy or "murky" it's a sign to clean out the water.
When you are leaving for the day or getting ready for bed, find a spot in the fridge to put your vase arrangement! This will slow the opening process of your flowers which will help them last longer - especially if you can do it everyday! We have had customers tell us that their flowers would last up to a month or longer by using this simple trick!
The more sunlight the flowers get, the faster they will open! If your goal is to have your flowers last as long as possible keep flowers away from warmer areas of your house or rooms with a lot of sunlight!
